Turquoise & Pearl Sphinx Brooch

A simple design but effective

This vintage brooch has rows of turquoise coloured stones with a complementary row of pearl beads. Set into a gold toned metal, it looks to be an early piece from the 1960s.

The fastening on reverse is a ball and clasp

Signed Sphinx on the reverse, but be warned you will need a magnifier to see this mark it is very small

Sphinx is a British company manufacturing from 1950 to present. Sphinx is based in Chiswick, UK and have produced jewellery for other  well named people, namely Kenneth Jay Lane, Butler & Wilson, Nieman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Fifth Avenue

This brooch is a magnificent piece about 5 x 3.5 cm
